 Concept of Touheed
(Monotheism) in Islam
•Touheed: The bedrock of Islam.
•It is fundamental base/principle/dogma/belief.
•The starting point of Islam is the belief in
oneness of God.
•The Holy Quran has laid/lays greatest
stress/focus on the doctrine of unity of Allah.

Judaism
They consider that Hazrat Umair (A.S) is the son of God

They believe in Trinity

They believe in polytheism (many gods).

Before the advent of Islam , there were 360
idols in Makkah.

Lat, Manat, Uzza, Hubul were the names of

idols.

• God says in the Holy Quran which is infallible
and inimitable word of Allah,

Modesty and meekness/Modest and Meek
• It (Touheed) makes man meek and humble.
• A Believer never becomes proud, haughty or
arrogant.

Courage and determination
• It inculcates in man the sense/source of
courage and determination. As the Holy Quran
says,

“Allah who has created life and death

to test you which of you best in deeds”
