MEDIA
• This is how information spread. This is also how the
communication process works.
• This is how media enters the picture – as an aid, media helps u
spread information in different form of devices.
• Media also helps improve the way we communicate with the other
people.
• Information and communication as radio and television,
newspapers “media” as the means of communication .
The Communication Process
There are various types of communication models to show us how human relay messages to each other:

Receiver

The Feedback Mechanism

• There are other improvements to the basic


model of communication a very important factor
was considered: Feedback
Why is feedback is important?

• This is to know if the message was effective.


• Did the sender encode the idea properly or not?
• Did the channel or the media deliver the information
properly?
• The idea was understood clearly by the people who
heard it.

• Medium is the singular form of the plural form “media”


But when referring to communication and information
media, proper collective term to use.
Media is usually technology – related information conducts
such as radio, television encompass.
What media is, but art forms such as literature (in the
form of books) and films are also considered as a part of
media.

• Therefore, when discussing media as a culture


product, the concept of media as part of popular
culture or pop culture also emerges.
• Culture is defined as “ the sum those
characteristics that identify and differentiate
human societies.

TRADITIONAL MEDIA

• Traditional Media covers the kinds of media that were invented


prior to the invention of the internet. This includes all kinds of
written or print media like news paper, magazines.

• ICT’S developed in just a span of three decades, it will surprise


you how technology is bringing the human race to have new levels
and ways information and communication dissemination.
• The cellular phone, which made it possible to make calls using
satellite technology connectivity instead – the – ground lines, is
now upgrading smart phones.
RELATED AND EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES

• Mobile gadgets are also moving towards different development


that directly attach to our personal lifestyle.
• Imagine a gadget where you could see a computer screen on your
eyeglass.
• The same principle is used in Android wear technology, the “
smart watch “ which is similar to an ordinary wristwatch in design.
