ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION AND

MAINTENANCE COURSE OVERVIEW

AND
ASSESSMENT PROCEDURES

By Engr. Peter John T. Rosario

Rationale

On-The-Job training plays a important role in preparing our students by acquiring actual
experience in the field before they graduate. At this time, the implementation of deployment of
students for On –The – Job training had been cancelled. This implicates that most of the
graduating students were not able to require their training gaps that they will supposedly acquire
in the field. As an alternative, most universities and colleges set technical webinars in order to
conduct this matter.
Acquiring practical skills with certificate is one advantage in the time for job seeking. The fact
that most of the industries have known the idea that in conducting OJT training is through
technical webinars, having training certificate (NC – National Certificate) for job application
supports/certifies that an applicant manifest the skills that is needed for a particular job.

supervise the Philippines' Technical
Education and Skills Development (TESD).
Its goals are to develop the Filipino
workforce with "world-class competence and
positive work values" and to provide quality
technical-educational and skills development
through its direction, policies, and programs.
