 Story of
Lord Ram and his Family
King Dashrath was the ruler of Ayodhya. He had three queens
- Kaushalya, Sumitra, and Kaikeyi.
 They had four sons.
Shri Rama, Bharat, Lakshman and Shatrughan.
 One night Kausalya was feeding baby Rama near the window.
Suddenly little Rama said “Chandamama” pointing to the moon.
When Kausalya figured out that he wanted the
moon and Rama started crying out loud.
Hearing his cries, the King and the other
queens came running and got puzzled .
Then Kaikeyi got an idea. She brought a mirror
and showed the reflection of the moon to
Rama.
 Rama became happy again
and his laughter made everyone happy.
Later when Rama got older, he married
Sita, the princess of Mithila.
Once Mother Kaikeyi wanted Rama to go
to the forest for 13years.
And he accepted without any questions and
went to the forest because he never
declined his parents wish.
After hearing this, Sita and Lakshmana followed him
into the forest as they would never leave his side .
While Bharat looked after the kingdom in
Rama's absence. This shows unity of the
family.
Later when they came back from the forest
Rama and Sita gave birth to two boys ,
Love and Kush.
