What is digital literacy?

Digital literacy is the knowledge and ability of users in utilizing


digital media, such as communication tools, internet networks
and so on.
History of Literacy
Since ancient times, literacy has
been part of human life and
development, from prehistoric
times to modern times. In
prehistoric times humans only
read the signs of nature to hunt
and defend themselves. They
wrote symbols and pictures of
the hunt on the walls of the cave.
Along with the change in time,
the standard of human life
developed, from not knowing
writing to giving birth to thinking
to codecode with numbers and
letters so that humans are said to
be creatures capable of thinking.

Every individual needs to
understand that digital
literacy is an important thing
needed to be able to
participate in today's modern
world. Digital literacy is just
as important as reading,
writing, numeracy, and other
disciplines.

Learning
The era in which almost all aspect in life, including in
learning that occurs more utilizing digital can be said to
be the digital era. In this kind of consensus, everyone,
especially students, must have adequate digital literacy.
Digital literacy is a person's ability to use information
and communication technology to find, evaluate, create,
and communicate information, which requires cognitive
and technical skills.
So, Is digital literacy important?
