of Great Britain.

Highland Britain and
Lowland Britain.
Highland Britain
• Highland Britain consists of
Scotland and Wales.
• the famous ones in
Scotland are the Ben Nevis
mountains and the Loch
Ness lake.
• The famous ones in Wales
are the Cambrian mountain
and Welsh Coastline.
Lowland Britain
• Lowland Britain comprises southern and eastern England.
• Lowlands consists of Vast plains and Valleys. It has a mild
climate.
• The famous ones in England are the Salisbury plains and the
Rocky Valley.

Britain is an island country and the surrounding I
sea gives a varied climate. It can be sunny one day
and rainy the next. As they have such a variable M
climate changing from day to day, it is difficult to
predict the weather. The overall climate in A
England is called temperate maritime. This means
that it is mild with temperatures not much lower T
than 0ºC in winter and not much higher than
