Secure The Promises
Luke 18:3-5 Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they
should always pray and not give up. 2 He said: “In a certain town there was a
judge who neither feared God nor cared what people thought. 3 And there was a
widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, ‘Grant me justice
against my adversary.’ 4 “For some time he refused. But finally he said to
himself, ‘Even though I don’t fear God or care what people think, 5 yet because
this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won’t
eventually come and attack me!’
9. BELIEVE
Mark 11:23-24 - Then Jesus said to the disciples, “Have faith in God. 23 I tell
you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown
into the sea,’ and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen
and have no doubt in your heart. 24 I tell you, you can pray for anything, and
if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours.
10. GIVE THANKS
2 Corinthians 4:15
All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more
people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God.
11. LIVE IN EXPECTATION
James 1: 7 - 6 -But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God
alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a
wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. 7 Such people should
not expect to receive anything from the Lord. 8 Their loyalty is divided
between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do
12. PRACTICE ACTIVE BELIEF
Luke 11:9 “So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will
find; knock and the door will be opened to you.
