What is the tradition of Chhattisgarh ?
The cultural life of Chhattisgarh is a mixture of various forms of tribal dances,
folk songs, traditional art and crafts, regional festivals, and fairs. The
tribal people preserve their rich culture modestly and
religiously. People of Chhattisgarh are simple and they
follow their traditional customs and beliefsMen in
tribal groups like Halbas, Ghotuls, Abhuj Marias, Murias,
etc. wear dhotis and headgears like cotton turbans, for
protection from the harsh sun during the day. The women
wear knee-length or full length sarees in bright colors. A wonderful display of tribal costumes can be
witnessed during festivals.
What is special about Chhattisgarh ?
Chhattisgarh situated in the heart of India, is endowed with a rich
cultural heritage and attractive natural diversity. The State
is full of ancient monuments, rare wildlife species, carved
temples, Buddhist sites, palaces, water-falls, caves,
rock paintings and hill plateaus.

humid because of its proximity to the Tropic of Cancer
and its dependence on the monsoons for rains.
