Lords and Nobility

peasants to tend the lands

alliance with other nobles
3. Required to serve the king as a vassal and come to
court to participate in political matters
4. Life is safer than the peasants and knights, but can
still be dangerous as other nobles seek each others’
power and wealth
5. Obligated to provide safety and an environment for
the lower classes to produce for the king’s good
6. Obligated to pay taxes and tribute to the king
