Objective & Purpose of eSWIS JABATAN ALAM SEKITAR
DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENT

To create a self regulation system that can facilitate


the industries to manage scheduled wastes in
compliance to Environmental Quality (Scheduled
Waste) Regulation 2005.

To facilitate the waste generator to periodically


report scheduled waste handling in terms of wastes
generation, inventory and the movement & handling
of scheduled waste as required under the
Environmental Quality (Scheduled Waste) Regulation
2005.

To assist DOE enforcement officers to monitor the


compliance of scheduled waste handlers (generators,
transporter & Scheduled Waste Facility) to the
Environmental Quality (Scheduled Waste) Regulation
2005.

Reg 3 (SWR) 2005 : Every waste generators


within 30 days from the date of generation
schedule waste, notify the DG of new
categories and quantities

Reg 11 (SWR) 2005: Waste Generator shall


keep an inventory of scheduled wastes
Reg 10(SWR) 2005: Suitable label & specified
information

Reg 4,5,6,8 (SWR) 2005, Waste to be dispose/


treat/ recovered/ handle at prescribed premise
only
Reg 9 (SWR) 2005: 180 Days or 20 MT
whichever earlier

Reg 12 (SWR) 2005 : Information to be


provided by waste generator, contractor and
occupier of prescribed premises
