 Job satisfaction is defined as the extent to which an employee feels self-motivated, content


& satisfied with his/her job. Job satisfaction happens when an employee feels he or she is
having job stability, career growth and a comfortable work life balance.
 Job satisfaction is increasingly becoming important in the workplace. Employers now recognize that
the “happier” their employees are, the better will be their attitudes towards the work, the higher their
motivation and the better will be their performance.

 The Job itself -
The job itself is very important because, if a person is dissatisfied with their work, this could lead to
dissatisfaction in other areas of their life. Keeping workers happy helps to strengthen a company in many
ways and leads to positive results for both organization and employees inside and outside the
organization as well. Irrespective of job title and pay grade, employees who report high job
satisfaction tend to achieve higher productivity, Increased Profits and a Healthy environment as well.

 Communication between employee and Management -


The most essential benefit of good communication is its ability to resolve issues before they snowball
into major problems. Good communication is an essential tool in achieving productivity and maintaining
strong working relationships at all levels of an organization – and this has been particularly important
since the Covid-19 outbreak forced many people to work remotely. Communication is essential for
effective teams and creates efficiencies by; motivating employees, encouraging open dialogues, and
fostering an environment of collaborative problem-solving.
 Benefits -
Benefits are any perks offered to employees in addition to salary. The most common benefits are
medical, disability, and life insurance; retirement benefits; paid time off; and fringe benefits. Benefits
can be quite valuable. When you offer employee benefits, your employees are more likely to be loyal to
your business. Benefits help employees to relieve their stress. Employees are more likely to show up

 Job Specific Training -


Job specific training is 'one on one' manual handling training provided to an employee to ensure that
they are completing their work role safely and within recommended safe guidelines. Job specific
training encompasses all physical tasks that employee will need to complete during their work tasks.
 Feeling safe at the work environment -
People who feel accepted and safe in the workplace are happier and more productive. Teamwork
requires trust, and when people feel threatened, unsafe or unhappy that trust isn’t there, so it’s in
every employer’s best interest to ensure that the working environment is safe for all workers.
Employers can be investigated and fined for not providing a safe working environment and all
employers are encouraged to provide systems to avoid injury or harm before it occurs.
 Career development opportunities -
Career Development is essential for the implementation of career planning. It refers to a set of
programme designed to match an individual’s needs, abilities and goals with current or future
opportunities in the organization. The process of organizational career development is important for
both employees and employers. There may many unexpected and unwanted changes, as well as
results that can change the whole scenario. 
 Career advancement opportunities –
Career advancement refers to the upward progression of one's career. An individual can advance by
moving from an entry-level job to a management position within the same field, for instance, or from
one occupation to another. Climbing the corporate ladder within the same occupation may be the
result of gaining experience and possibly completing additional training. When one advances by
changing career, that person may transition to a related profession that has greater educational
requirements and responsibilities.
One example would be an Information Technology Engineer, who first joins an organization as a
software developer and after getting experiences and intensive training he/she can become Senior
Engineering Manager/Principal Computer Architect By going through various organization position

Active networkers attend conferences, events, business meetings, and other face-to-face scenarios to
make personal impressions, cultivate relationships, and stay current in the field.
 Relationship with co-workers -
Positive relationships in the workplace are an integral part of career success. When building relationships in
the workplace, you will notice an increase in productivity and overall job satisfaction. By taking certain steps
toward understanding your emotional intelligence and getting to know your co-workers, you can build
