DEFINITION
Circular Motion is a movement of an object
along the circumference of a circle or rotation
along a circular path.

UNIFORM CIRCULAR
MOTION
Uniform Circular Motion is the motion of an
object to take a circular path with a constant
velocity
The value of linear
speed/velocity is constant.

Centripetal acceleration (as) causes centripetal
force (Fs) which also leads to the center of the
trajectory. The centripetal force must exist so that
the object continues to move in its path (circle).
NON-UNIFORM
CIRCULAR MOTION
DEFINITION
Non-uniform circular motion is motion of an
object on a circular path with a constant angular
acceleration.
This constant angular acceleration, makes the
angular velocity change every second, can be
faster or slower, depending on the
positive/negative sign on the angular acceleration

PROBLEM EXAMPLE
Wheel
motorcycle’s Bagus spinning with a linear velocity of
7 m/s. The radian of the wheel is 14 cm. How much time
needed to take one full turn?
Known:
v=7m/s
r=14 cm = 0.14 m
