DEFINITION
A reservation letter is a letter that is sent to
reserve a spot somewhere, usually a hotel or a
restaurant.
Example :
If you were going to be travelling to Cuba, you
would sent a making reservation to a hotel you
wish to stay at, stating your requirements and the
time you wish to stay. This way, they will know
you are coming and they will reserve a spot for
you
FUNCTION
To reserve a place somewhere, such as a
conference, function, or activity. This could be
in reply to an invitation or as a direct request
asking for a spot. Depending on the scenario
there may be a form to complete, or you may
literally have to write a letter.
STRUCTURE
1. Address of the letter writer
2. Date of letter
( Begin with day, no comma)
( Begin with month, use a comma)
3. Name , Address of recipient
4. Subject : Normally bold, summarizes the intention of the
letter.
5. Salutation with colon
6. Body of letter
7. Closing
