• The Union Budget of India for 2020–2021 was presented by the Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman on 1
February 2020, as her second budget. This is the second budget of Narendra Modi-led NDA government's
second term. The Economic Survey for 2019–2020 was released on 31 January 2020, a day before the budget.

decade of growth and prosperity. Prominent
themes of this Budget are its focus
on governance and financial sector to enhance

This will be the first time since independence that physical copies of
Budget documents will not be shared with MPs to avoid the risk of
COVID-19 infection, the sources said, adding all MPs will get soft
copies of the Budget and Economic Survey.
