Combination Movements
The following are locomotor movements combined to form a new mov
ement.

• Gallop (walk-leap) - an uneven rhythmic pattern, moving forward and


backward using a step, close.

• Polka (gallop and skip or slide and skip) - an uneven rhythmic pattern
, moving forward, backward, sideward and diagonally.

• Schottische (walk, walk, walk, hop) - an uneven rhythmic pattern, mo


ving forward, backward, sideward, and diagonally.
• Skip (walk-hop) - an uneven rhythmic pattern, moving forward,
backward, sideward, and diagonally.

• Slide(walk-leap) - an uneven rhythmic pattern, moving sideward


using a step close.

• Two-step (step-close-step) - an uneven rhythmic pattern require


s two counts of the music(1,and,2) to complete, moving forward,
backward, sideward, and diagonally.
