USES OF THE PRESENT PERFECT TENSE
Function 1: Use the Present Perfect Tense to talk about an action which
happened at an unstated time in the past and is connected with the present.

I have lost my keys.

I can’t find them


now.

They haven’t finished


lunch.

They are still eating.


USES OF THE PRESENT PERFECT TENSE
Function 2: Use the Present Perfect Tense to talk about experiences
in the past.

She has flown in a helicopter.

We have never eaten sushi.

actions in the past.

Use the Present Perfect + for/since to talk about an action or state that
started in the past and continues in the present.

years.
