Description: Objectives

SCOPE:
of inventory management system
- Administrator can be able to login the system and
access the retail database; can add, update or remove,
goods, and employees; and the admin account cannot be
accessed by the cashier
- The scope of an inventory system can cover many
needs, including valuing the inventory, measuring the
change in inventory and planning for future inventory
levels.
- The value of the inventory at the end of each period
provides a basis for financial reporting on the balance sheet.
- Measuring the change in inventory allows the
company to determine the cost of inventory sold during the
period. This allows the company to plan for future inventory
needs.
- Orders received will go to inventory system monitor
the products. The system will have the database that stores
all the order information of the customer.

1. System can only be accessed offline.

2. System can only receive cash.

3. System cannot receive amounts on a credit card basis.

4. No barcode Scanners

5. Inventories that are counted weekly or monthly and


then compared with counts from the previous period can
only generate data at or after the point of counting.
