with braking arrangement,1kW , 230V, 6A,
1450 rpm.
2. Single –phase dimmerstat 0-270V

PROCEDURE:

1) Motor is started at no-load with a reduced voltage

using a dimmerstat.
2) The motor is thereafter run with its rated voltage.
3) Readings of current, power and speed are noted at no-
load.
4) Load on the motor is gradually increased using the
brake-pulley arrangement.
5) Motor is loaded till it draws full load current of 6 amp.
6) Each time voltage (V) current (I), power (W), T1 (kg)
T2(Kg) & speed (rpm) are noted.
