Intro and Idea
 Radio waves have been the foundation of modern communication and despite being a
relatively old technological invention radio transmitters have multiple applications in
today’s world. Recognizing this importance, we propose an idea of equipping the college to
with the necessary equipment to relay and control radio signals and have a radio station of
its own. We can support our idea by the fact and proof that radio stations has been present
in many colleges in not only in India but also in different colleges around the world. Our
system will have the following prominent features.:
1.Dedicated Channels-We’ll have dedicated channels to handle emergency announcements,
Intra College declarations, Podcasts, Informative sessions and lastly, advertisements.
2. Online Radio – The radio will also be relayed online as an e-radio to ensure that those
without a proper receiving equipment will also be able to tune in.
3. We’ll install speakers throughout campus to catch and relay the info
4. An app will be linked to the radio station to allow the users to see the statistics, get more
info, make requests etc.
Design
 Radio receiver design includes the electronic design of different
components of a radio receiver which processes the radio frequency signal
from an antenna in order to produce usable information such as audio. The
complexity of a modern receiver and the possible range of circuitry and
methods employed are more generally covered in electronics and
communications engineering,

 Radio in its initial phase used in the military operation for sending the morse
code as the time passed 
• 1919: First clear transmission of human speech, (on 9XM) after experiments
with voice (1918) and music (1917).
• presently radio are very compact and portable it can be the application (app)
in smartphone fit in the car and very compact that one can fit in your fit

Our design will include modern radio design with not only physical presence
but also virtual presence(virtual: later in slides).

Our physical one include everything that a modern radio station can include for
e.g.:- high quality mikes, good speakers, digital control panels, sound proof
room, etc.
Area of focus
 Initial phase:
In the initial phase of our project, our Radio station will only be
accessible by the students and the IIITD staff only. The Radio station can
be used for broadcasting educational information, Music, Lost and found and
important announcements like any fest or an exciting sports match.😃😃

 Later phase:
Later phase: In the next Phase, the campus radio can be opened up for
the general public, outside IIITD for information regarding Events in
college like fests, or if any student wants to showcase his/her talent.

Dedicated channels will be there for emergency or important information announcement. Speakers will be
setup in college for this.
They will be categorized according to college one and public one.
How it will help
 Radio station will act a medium between teacher and student. As if some teacher wants to
announce something they can announce.
 Through this we can even help government in difficult situations, for e.g. – in England
there are different radio frequencies and speakers setup throughout the cities and if there is
a situation they play sound according to that.
 Students can show their performance , so that it get recognition not only in college but also
around the city.
 Calm music's can be played during the evening time to relive students out of there stressed
day.(Not only in many colleges , schools and malls music like this way is played even in
army areas they are played during evening time).
 New students can directly go to the radio station app or the radio station to gather
information about college activates and other important information.
 When it will be completely run by students, students will start developing speaking and
listening, help in build confidence, learn about teamwork.

Features
 App:
There will be dedicated app for radio station. Which will be available initially for iOS and
android , later on if any new OS(like Tizen, Huawei's own OS) comes up we will update our
app according to that. App will be safe and secured. It will not ask for any personal information
other then college email id’s where OTP will be sent for college students and nothing required
for outside college people.
Benefits:
1. To access information about radio station.
2. To see the schedule of the events on radio station.
3. To register themselves or book appointment if someone wants to
perform or announce something.
4. Special section for teachers to announce something.
Special Points
 The app will be easy to use and free of cost. It will be made on the
basis of 5 basic principle of design , so that it can we accepted and
liked by as many as possible.
 We will invite companies to advertise to generate revenue for
college(but ads in a controlled manner), just like college do in
cultural fest.
 Instead of calling DJ’s from outside college , we will be able to
provide our own.
 All these points are idea of our mind and not copied from anywhere.
