TelExcell Systems has deploy Wi-Fi RAN
(Outdoor Access Points), thin Wi-Fi Core,
and cloud-based BSS with Authentication,
Registration, Accounting and Monitoring of
IP sessions.
TelExcell Systems has utilize BSNL’s
DSL/OFC backhaul media at the CRC
Tower at NOC to connect the Wi-Fi RAN to
BSNL’s Internet Gateway through
Haridwar’s BSNL Network
System Architecture
According to the system design [Fig -1] there will be 22 nos. 8-port PoE Field
Switch among 21 nos. ghats. Each field Switch will be connected with switch at
control room at CCR tower via Point to Point & Point to Multipoint RF link.

Backhaul Connectivity (CRC & Distribution Points)
Very High Capacity (upto 450 Mbps) Point to Point RF Link will be established between
CRC & main distribution points (GM Ghat & Parking) to provide back haul connectivity
(Fig 2-4).

All ghats will be connected with distribution points on point to point & point to multipoint
radio links. (Fig. – 5)

Total 200+ Access Points (AP) will be placed on the new/exiting poles at the said 21 ghats.
Normally poles will be placed or selected at a distance of 30 - 50m. Multiple nos. of AP
may be placed on same pole to allow the user in huge quantity in a close area. Again, AP’s
will be placed side by side in such a manner that total area will be covered and huge nos. of
user can get connectivity seamlessly from any point.

Power over Ethernet Switches - Edge Switches
All field switches will be placed on new or existing poles in a weather proof enclosure.
All AP will be connected with nearby field switch through Armored STP CAT6 cable.
These cables will be laid under ground or over head wherever applicable.

Good Wi-Fi signal coverage for area in scope
QoS-based Broadband download speeds per user
Secure Subscriber authentication
Accurate Subscriber Billing/Charging to support prepaid/postpaid packages
Dependencies on ITDA/BSNL
ITDA to assist TelExcell Systems in obtaining clearance for setting up Hotspots in the
premises
Backhaul to be made available by BSNL in DSL/Optical/Microwave to each Hot spots.
Internet Gateway to be provided by BSNL
Adequate space and power for the Wi-Fi Network Elements to be made available by the
Site Owner in coordination with BSNL
BSNL to provide adequate IP address space to communicate with all Wi-Fi Network
elements
