SYSTEM
- The medical specialty dealing with disorders of the bone is
called orthopedics.
- Bone disorders may be congenital (from birth) or due to
accident, infection, or toxic drugs.
BONE DISORDERS:
Arthritis
- is a painful degenerative bone disorder that occurs when
joints become stiff and inflamed.
- This is due to the wearing away of the cartilage covering the
bones such that bone fuse.

the surrounding joints.

- Is a disorder of the spinal column due to lateral or sideward
curvature.

Sprain
- Is an injury to the joints and its surrounding tissues caused by external
forces moving the joint in an unnatural position.
- It may be characterized by torn ligaments, tendons, and muscles or
detached cartilage inside a joint.
- It may be treated by bandaging the area to limit movement while
healing takes place.

FRACTURE

- Always eat a balanced diet.
- Eat foods rich in calcium and phosphorus.
- Dairy product and green leafy vegetables are good sources of calcium.
- Wear footwear with non-slip soles to prevent slipping.
- Avoid walking on slippery pavements.
- Wear appropriate safety gears when engaging in any kind of sports
- Always wear a helmet when riding a bicycle or a motorcycle.
- Any harm done to your bones must be given immediate attention.
