REPUBLIC ACT NO. 896 –

◦ An act to declare the policy on elementary education in


the Philippines.

Section 2 - In pursuance of them of all schools expressed in section five, Article XIV of the
Constitution, and as amplified by subsequent legislation, it shall be the main function of the elementary school
to develop healthy citizens of good moral character, equipped with the knowledge, habits, and ideals needed
for a happy and useful home and community life.
Republic Act No. 10533

“An act enhancing the Philippine basic education


system by strengthening its curriculum and increasing
the number of years for basic education,
appropriating funds therefor and for other purposes,”
otherwise known as the “Enhanced Basic Education
Act of 2013.”4 Sept 2013.
