PRE-OPENING - This is the period spent preparing for the meeting.
The Troop Leader also uses this time which is usually 15 to 30
minutes before the scheduled time for the meeting to talk
individually to the boys as they arrive.

This is also the period when the Service Patrol, appointed during
the last Troop Leaders Council, prepares and sets up the Troop
meeting place, gets the necessary materials and equipment from
the Troop Quartermaster, and make their last minute physical
arrangement.

OPENING - The Troop meeting must always have a formal

opening ceremony to mark its official beginning. The
ceremony must be short, simple but impressive. Make sure
different opening ceremonies are presented every time.
