SCIENCE IN EVERYDAY

LIFE IN HISTORY
The importance of science in our daily life

Science is very important in our daily life, without science there are no buildings around us. We use science
everyday. In drying clothes, cooking foods, eating and many others. All we do is almost related to science.
Communication, social medias and others. If there is no science there is no life. Science helps us in everyday life so
thats why science is important.
ELECTRICITY

The word "electricity" is sometimes used to mean

i "electrical energy". They are not the same thing: electricity is a
transmission medium for electrical energy, like sea water is a
transmission medium for wave energy. An item which allows
electricity to move through it is called a conductor. Copper wires
and other metal items are good conductors, allowing electricity to
move through them and transmit electrical energy. Plastic is a
bad conductor (also called an insulator) and does not allow much
electricity to move through it so it will stop the transmission of
electrical energy.
Chemistry

Chemistry is the scientific discipline involved with

elements and compounds composed of atoms, molecules
and irons: their composition, structure, properties,
behavior and the changes they undergo during a reaction
 with other substances.
In the scope of its subject, chemistry occupies an
intermediate position between physics and biology. It is
sometimes called the central science because it provides
a foundation for understanding both basic and applied
scientific disciplines at a fundamental level. For example,
chemistry explains aspects of plant chemistry (botany),
the formation of igneous rocks (geology), how
atmospheric ozone is formed and how environmental
pollutants are degraded (ecology), the properties of the
soil on the moon (cosmochemistry), how medications
work (pharmacology), and how to collect DNA evidence at
a crime scene (forensics).
Biology

Biology is the natural science that studies life and

living organisms, including their physical structure,
chemical processes, molecular interactions,
physiological mechanisms, development and
evolution. Despite the complexity of the science,
certain unifying concepts consolidate it into a single,
coherent field. Biology recognizes the cell as the
basic unit of life, genes as the basic unit of heredity,
and evolution as the engine that propels the
creation and extinction of species. Living organisms
are open systems that survive by transforming
energy and decreasing their local entropy[2] to
maintain a stable and vital condition defined as
homeostasis.[3]
Medical Science

Medicine is the art, science and practice of caring for a patient and managing the

diagnosis, prognosis, prevention, treatment or palliation of their injury or disease.
Medicine encompasses a variety of health care practices evolved to maintain and
restore health by the prevention and treatment of illness. Contemporary medicine applies
biomedical sciences, biomedical research, genetics, and medical technology to diagnose,
treat, and prevent injury and disease, typically through pharmaceuticals or surgery, but
also through therapies as diverse as psychotherapy, external splints and traction,
medical devices, biologics, and ionizing radiation, amongst others.
Product used in medical centers:
•- Hospital beds
•- Gauzes / bandages
•- Syringes
•- X-ray machines
•- Medicines
•- Treatments
•- Electrical scanning equipment
•- Laboratory equipment
•- Stethoscope
•- Blood pressure reader
•- Thermometer
Technology
Technology is about taking action to meet a human need rather
than merely understanding the workings of the natural world,
which is the goal of science. The invention of the microscope
was driven by a need to explore the world of the small, beyond
our unaided vision. This technological solution to a long standing
problem has in turn enabled us to understand more the workings
of the world which in turn has led to the development of more
technologies.
Chemical Changes

• occur when a substance combines with another to form a new substance, called chemical synthesis or,
alternatively, chemical decomposition into two or more different substances. These processes are called
chemical reactions and, in general, are not reversible except by further chemical reactions. Some reactions
produce heat and are called exothermic reactions and others may require heat to enable the reaction to occur,
which are called endothermic reactions. Understanding chemical changes is a major part of the science of
chemistry.
• When chemical reactions occur, the atoms are rearranged and the reaction is accompanied by an energy change
as new products are generated. An example of a chemical change is the reaction between sodium and water to
produce sodium hydroxide and hydrogen. So much energy is released that the hydrogen gas released
spontaneously burns in the air. This is an example of a chemical change because the end products are chemically
different from the substances before the chemical reaction.

Physical Changes

Physical changes are changes affecting the form of a chemical substance, but not its
chemical composition. Physical changes are used to separate mixtures into their component
compounds, but can not usually be used to separate compounds into chemical elements or
simpler compounds.
An example of a physical change is the process of tempering steel to form a knife blade. A steel blank is
repeatedly heated and hammered which changes the hardness of the steel, its flexibility and its ability to
maintain a sharp edge.

Conclusion

The role of science is a like as our heart beat in our daily life. Science brings
life to our civilization. Though some greedy people misuse in their own way
but together we can and should spread the greatness of science through out
the civilization.
