SIMPLICITY

● It is a characteristic of greatness. It means doing what is

necessary and remaining balance.
● Simplicity of Appearance
○ Taking care of your appearance is important. How you
see yourself on the outside speaks to how you feel in
the inside
SIMPLICITY
● A simple Mind
○ Usually refer as “Common Sense”
○ Mental simplicity makes it easier to comprehend other
points of view. It reduces or eliminates the need to be
right or impose yourself on others.
○ A person with a simple mind expresses themselves with
the ease of someone who isn’t interested in proving
anything.
SIMPLICITY

● Simplicity in your relationship with others

○ They accept themselves, and therefore they accept
others.
○ A person who acts with simplicity equally values
powerful and humble people.
○ Simplicity leads us to value other’s triumphs. We feel joy
for others achievements and share their sadness.
HUMILITY

● From latin “humus”- ground.

● Requires us to value our own worth appropriately while
accepting our helplessness, moral fraility, and
acknowledging our own relative insignificance.
● Provides a means of achieving the difficult goal.,
HUMILITY

A humble approach protects us from a narcissistic sense of

entitlement which can lead to the disrespectful treatment of a
patient or colleague.
● Accurate self-assessment.
● Acknowledgement of one’s limitation and error.
● Openness to other ideas.
● Viewing one’s accomplishment in perspective.
● Lowering self focus- appreciating other people.

“To be humble means to appreciate the limits of your abilities, understanding and
importance”
Thank you!
