 Create a class in Google Classroom (GC)
 Invite students in the GC
 Organize GC with contents
 Create an assignment, a quiz assignment and a question in the GC
 Create and use Rubrics in GC in assessing student’s work output
 Upload a material in GC
Features of Google Classroom
1. Go to google.com and sign in.
2. Click the 3x3 dot or square icon
and scroll down until you find
classroom.
Or you can type google classroom in the search button,
and then click Google Classroom.

3. Create a class by clicking the plus sign (+).
Click “Create class”.
4. Enter the name of your class and Subject. Other fields are
optional. Then click create.
5. You can make changes inside of your class like customizing the
theme, (or you can do this later).
2 Ways to Invite Students into your Google Classroom

Open a class and go to settings.

bottom of the name of a class.

(through messenger or GC, email, or text message)

1. Instruct them to sign in to google.com and go to Google Classroom.

2. Instruct them to click plus sign button and choose “Join a class”.

The Stream and the
Classwork
The Stream
 It is a feed where
everyone in the class can
find announcements,
class agenda, and
upcoming assignments.

 It is the first thing


students see when they
log in. 

 It can be used to set up


class discussion boards,
where students can
interact online by asking
questions or commenting
on each other's posts. 
You can communicate with your students in the stream.
If the students responded on your message or post, you can make a reply to their
comments. Also, you can mute a student or delete his or her comment.
You can change the setting of the stream.
The Classwork
 Whenever you want to create
new assignments, questions,
or material, you'll need to
navigate to the Classwork tab

 In this tab, you can create


assignments and view all
current and past assignments.
To create an assignment, click
the Create button, then
select Assignment. You can
also select Question if you'd
like to pose a single question
to your students,
or Material if you simply want
to post a reading, visual, or
other supplementary material.

Instruction:
1) Create just one (1) class in Google
Classroom for your respective subject, SY
2021-2022.
2) Invite 2 or 3 co-teachers (as your students)
to join in your class created.
3) Organize your class with contents (e.g.
units, lessons, tasks, etc).
4) Create an assignment or a quiz assignment
with corresponding rubrics. Send it to your
students. Grade their work and return it.
