 It is the process by which we must be able to
WASTE SEGREGATION correctly and efficiently separate the
different discarded products.

a. Recyclable Waste - Plastics, Paper, Glass,

Non Biodegradable Metal.
b. Toxic Waste:- – Old Medicine, paints,
Waste - inorganic
Chemicals, bulbs, Spray Cans
c. Soiled: – Hospital waste such as cloth soiled
with blood and other body fluids.

THE COLOR-CODING OF WASTE BINS Organic is
Green, Glass is Yellow, Paper is White, Metal is
Grey, Plastic is Blue, Hazard is Red!

Our Proposals:
1. Effective segregation of wastes
and training for workers and the
general public to know how less
waste goes to landfills.
2. To place containers in strategic
places and control to permanence
and maintenance.

1. We will encourage to be part of the
committee at Collasuyo Avenue and
small groups in the neighborhood or
surroundings for better control.

FULFILLMENT OF FINES Our purpose is to identify and

3. Why did we choose this level of goberment?

we think that the level of government that

must take care of this problem is the
municipalities, since according to law
number 27314 article 43 indicates that the
sectoral and municipal authorities are
responsible for providing solutions to solid
waste problems of each sector.

Solid waste management together with the
association of segregators, would generate a
great source of job creation. Based on solid
waste characterization studies.

People who recycle at home and then

sell, could earn money for every kilos
that the recycler buys .

If every body in cusco put their garbage in the

select waste bins, we have a clean city so the

 Recycling avoids the use of landfills,
they are very polluting for the
environment and very annoying for
people.

Save energy and reduce pollution,

which means less CO2 generation to
create new material and this reduce
the gases that cause the greenhouse
effect.

promote recycling and awareness in people
about the problem.
• About economy, fines will provide incomes to
the Collasuyo Avenue. The money could be
used to implement better plans for this problem.
• The small investment made by the Collasuyo
Avenue committee can be refunded with the
selling of waste.
