Guidelines for Virtual Training
Guidelines for Virtual Training

1. Turn off microphones when not speaking

2. Listening attentively when someone speaks
3. Respecting other people’s opinions
4. Staying on track
What is one thing that you are grateful for in
this time?
What is one thing that was challenging or difficult
for you during the last school year?

How did you address the challenge?

Who among you have experienced blended
learning or teaching face –to-face with distance
learning?

How was your experience?

While listening to the sharing , please take note
of the following to “focus thinking”:
◦ 1. What do you understand about blended learning?

◦ 2. What are the benefits of using blended learning?

◦ 3. What factors should be considered to be able to implement each of the 4 types of
blended learning?

◦ 4. What can you do (individually and with a group of teachers) to feel more confident to
take up the challenge of implementing blended learning?
Blended Learning

-an Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM) that

combines face –to-face (F2F) and distance
learning modalities to deliver the formal
learning curriculum standards
Managing the F2F Modality
• establish safe & secure learning environment

• work with the school community to ensure that

learners should:

 have access to handwashing facilities, water supply, cleaning &

disinfecting supplies (soap, sanitizer, etc)& protective
equipment for cleaners, e.g.gloves
 be reminded of the handwashing protocols & the importance of
adopting a hygiene culture
 observe physical distancing & other health & safety protocols
Why use blended learning?
1. Expanded reach

2. Flexibility on the use of multiple pedagogical

approaches that suit different types of learners’
context

3. Effectiveness due to the application of

differentiated teaching
Why use blended learning?

4. Alternative to enable continued participation in

school.

Covid-19 pandemic, the new normal requires

flexibility to comply with health and safety
protocols
What are the types of blended learning?

DepEd’s Learning Continuity Plan(LCP) cited :

1. Face –to-face and Modular Distance Learning (F2F & MDL)
2. Face –to-face and Online Distance Learning (F2F & ODL)
3. Face–to-face and Television/Radio-based Instruction (F2F &
TV/RBI)
4. Face –to-face and a Combination of MDL, ODL, TV/RBI
When is blended learning
appropriate?
-depending on the extent of community
infection

-the region/SDO/Schools are in a better

position to assess their context & determine
delivery approaches with the assurance of
compliance to government regulations &
policies
