1. Introduction

Rholia rosea (cây rễ vàng) originally comes from the plant family Crassulaceae.
It is a herb plant and also known as golden root, rose root, or arctic root.
Rhodiola rosea (R. rosea) originally comes from the plant family Crassulaceae.
It is mainly grown in mountainous areas of North America, Europe and Asia
and has been used as a popular plant of traditional medical systems. R. rosea is
well-known for stimulating CNS(central nervous system), reducing metal
fatigue, having antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties and enhancing Figure 1. Rholia rosea

rosea: A Versatile Adaptogen, the research paper shows that R. rosea had
positive effects on physical work capacity. R. rosea was able to improve work
capacity and decreases recovery time after physical work.
It therefore would be interesting to study R. rosea in the purpose of enhancing
the physical performance of Vietnamese people participating in various sport
competitions such as Olympic Games, World Cup, ect.
The objective of this study is to examine the effect of R. rosea
supplementation on exercise performances.

2.Influence of R. rosea in work performance of three research papers
First, the public paper in 2009 describes the way R. rosea extract supplementation affected on swimming-induced fatigue in rats. The
active components on R. rosea was recorded by HPLC method. Then, taking the known concentrations of active components of R.
rosea in water, we observed male Wistar rats with 90mins for unloaded swimming exercise and 5% body weight for loaded swimming
up to fatigue. After that, we analyzed the fatigue biomarkers including blood urea nitrogen (BUN), glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase
(GOT) and glutamic pyruvic transaminase (GPT),etc. As a results, R. rosea supplement rose the time of swimming and decreased
swimming-enhanced serum BUN, GOT and GPT levels. besides, the increase of glycogen content, energy supply of lipogenic enzyme
expressions and protective defense mechanisms enable rats to improve exhaustive fatigue due to swimming.
Second, we explore the study at high altitude, 42 master level skiers was divided into 2 groups before a biathlon. At the beginning,
group was given R. rosea and the other was given placebo at 1h before the race. After completing the race 30 mins, in R. rosea group,
the heart rate wad 104% to 106% of baseline compared to that of the placebo group about 129%. Moreover, the R.rosea group increased
significantly the accuracy in shooting and showed better team work and less arm tremor than the placebo group.
Finally, in the study 2019, to examine the effect of R. rosea supplementation on
body during 8-week endurance training. 14 adults including 8 males and 6
females engaged in this double-blind randomized controlled study. these people
conducted exercise training with the placebo group(7 people). the two groups
received and completed the same exercise training.
As a result, the body compositions profiles improved remarkably in R. rosea
group. We can see in the table 3. It describes the body composition assessments.
there was a slight difference between the Pre-test and Post-test. The body
weight, body mass index( BMI) and proportion of body fat in Post-test of
R.rosea group were lower than those in Pre-test after 8-week intervention
