QUALIFICATION

• For the majority of teaching positions in Singapore, a Bachelor's degree is

essential. For roles in public and international schools, a degree in Education
or your subject area is strongly preferred. For ESL positions, a Bachelor's
degree and a TEFL certification is usually required.
CAREER PATH

• After three years of teaching, teachers are assessed annually to see whether
they have the potential for three different career paths: master teacher,
specialist in curriculum or research, or school leader, each with salary
increments. Teachers with  potential to be school leaders are moved to
middle management
