 Learning Purpose
1. Menentukan fungsi sosial teks khusus dalam bentuk teks deskriptive tentang tujuan, dan manfaat dari
teks dengan literasi melalui slide PowerPoint. (integrasi ICT, literasi, TPACK).

2. Menganalisis struktur dan unsur kebahasaan teks deskriptif lisan dan tulis dengan memberi dan meminta
informasi terkait tempat wisata dan bangunan bersejarah berdasarkan pengamatan yang bersumber dari

Wakatobi
Wakatobi is the name of an archipelago and regency in Sulawesi Tenggara, Indonesia. The name of Wakatobi is derived
from the names of the main islands in the archipelago: Wangiwangi, Kaledupa, Tomea, and Binangko. Do you know what?
It is the best diving sites ever.
There are many reasons why I call Wakatobi as the best diving sites ever. First, the reefs in Wakatobi diving are unlike
others in the region because of the dry climate and uplifted limestone. This means Wakatobi is an exceptionally clean
environment due to the lack of soil erosion. Second, being a national park, fishing is strictly limited and the reefs of
Wakatobi are protected. These superb reefs are supported and protected by the local fishing communities who obtain a fair
share of the income generated by Wakatobi dive tourism in exchange for adopting more sustainable practices, such as
leaving large stretches of reef completely untouched. Third, Wakatobi is located at the world’s coral reef triangle center
with its 942 fish species and 750 coral reef species from a total of 850 world's collection comparing to the two world's
famous diving center of the Caribbean Sea that owes only 50 species and other 300 species in the red sea.

Jakarta is the capital of a beautiful country called Indonesia and it has become a center of government for decades.
Aside from being a business and governance center, it also has a splendid history and culture. For example, there is
one called Kota Tua or Old Old Town. As the name suggests, it holds numerous historic structures, which were used
during the colonialism era. The fact is Jakarta (Batavia) was once considered a strategic spot to trade during the
16th century. Today, the site becomes tourists’ favorite destination to hang out and feel the old atmosphere of the
city.
Kota Tua Jakarta or the Old Town of Jakarta is located in Kunir Street 23 A, Tamansari. It belongs to West Jakarta
City, actually. Despite the small size, which is about 1.3 km, it has lots of attractions including historical buildings and
several spots to hang out. Most of the structures are old museums, but an old harbor also resides near to the area.
Tourists usually come there during the afternoon or at night when the nuance feels more comfortable. Some people
are also seen in the morning as they enjoy fresh air and do some sports like jogging.
Another unique attraction in Jakarta Old Town is the presence of local artists, those who dress like a statue, soldiers,
Dutch lady, and much more. They move around the area and often become an object for photography. Visitors are
even allowed to take pictures with them, in fact. At the end of the adventure, tourists should enjoy local snacks called
Kerak Telor. It is both crispy and tasty!

Singapore is a South-east Asian country located between Malaysia and

Indonesia. Despite its small size, Singapore is known for its transition
as a third-world country to the first-world country. Singapore also was
known as the Asian Tiger economy, based on external trade and its
workforce. Singapore size is not as big as Indonesia, but the city ranks
highly in numerous international rankings for its education,
entertainment, finance, healthcare, human capital, innovation, logistics,
manufacturing, technology, tourism, trade, and transport.

Singapore is home to 5.6 million people with a diverse culture. Majority

ethnic groups in Singapore are Chinese, Malay, and Indian. Singapore
Independence Day was on the 9th of August 1965. Merlion Statue is
the official mascot of Singapore. Singapore is famous for its Garden by
the Bay, Marina Bay Sands, dan Orchard Road.
