TOPIC

Definition:

COMMUNICATION- is the exchange of thoughts, feelings and observation


among others.

Nature of Communication:
1. Communication is a process.
2. Communication occurs between two or more persons.
3. Communication can be expressed through written or spoken words,
actions or both.
Learning Exploration:
Elements of Communication:

1. SENDER/RECEIVER – In the communication process, the sender is the individual


who initiates a message and is also called the communicator or source

of communication.
2. MESSAGE – is a verbal or non verbal communication where people ideas they
send to the receiver of the message.
3. CHANNEL – is where the message traveled or deliver to the receiver of the message.
4. FEEDBACK – is the response of a receiver to sender’s message.
5. NOISE – is any type of disruption that interferes with the transmission or
interpretation of information from the sender to the receiver.
6. SETTING – is the place where they receive the message and exact time where they
send the letter.

Components of Communication Process


1. SENDER – intends to convey the message with the intention of passing information
and ideas to other.
2. IDEAS – the subject matter of the communication.
3. ENCODING – is a conversation into symbol such as word actions picture is the
process of encoding.
4. COMMUNICATION CHANNEL – This information is transmitted to the receiver
through the certain channels which may be either formal or
informal.

5. RECEIVER – A person who receives the message or for whom the message is meant
for.
6. DECODING – The person who receive the message or symbol from the
communicator tries to convert the same in such a way so that he may
extract its meaning to his complete understanding.
7. FEEDBACK – is the process of ensuring that the receiver has received the message
and understood in the same sense as sender meant it.
