 DEFINITION OF NATURAL FIBER

• Natural fiber is fiber that comes from natural materials

that can be utilized and processed.

Natural fibers are natural and do not contain chemicals

DEFINITION OF PLANT FIBER

• Plant fiber is fiber taken from plants to be used as

material for a product or craft.
TYPES OF PLANT FIBER

• Seed Fiber
We get this plant fiber from plant seeds.
Example; cotton, kapok etc.
• Bark Fiber
This is the outer covering of the stem in plants. These plant fibers
are collected from the inner bark or blast of the plant.
Example; Rami.
• Hard Fiber
These plant fibers are collected from the leaves of plants.
Example – coir from coconut shells.
