We use the Present Simple to
describe
habits, facts, states and regular
actions.
It is the most common tense in
English.
First:
We will divide the Pronouns into 2 groups.

Rules For Adding S To

1) We add es to the base form She washes

when the verb ends with ch, sh, O
She fixes

2) When the verb ends with Y and there is a
consonant before , we will drop it and add ies

Negative form
subject + Do/does not + verb ..

• DON’T – Negative Sentences with DON’T in English( We


use Don’t when the subject is I, you, we or they. We
add don’t between the subject and the verb).
• DOESN’T – Negative Sentences with DOESN’T in English
Now let’s look at third person sentences using he, she and it.
Again, we add doesn’t between the subject and the verb to
make a negative sentence.
• I speak English.
I don’t speak English.
Do you speak english?
• You speak Spanish.
You don’t speak Spanish.
• He speaks Spanish. (+)
• He doesn’t speak Spanish. (-)
• Does he speak Spanish?
Interrogative.
Do/does + subject + verb + …?

• DO – Interrogative Sentences in English( We


use Do when the subject is I, you, we or they).

• DOES – Interrogative Sentences with DOES in


English ( We use Does when the subject is
