Linear Actuator Common Issues

Complaint:
Won’t elevate.
Stuck elevated, wont decline.
Declines when going to next stage. Linear Actuator

Verify sensor is mounted flush

Verify cam does not wobble.

If Linear Actuator is replaced, then you must

perform a elevation calibration as per manual.
Inverter Assembly Common Issues

Complaint:
Completely shuts off during test.
Inverter doesn’t light up.
Inverter Assembly

Check error logs on Inverter.

If Inverter Assembly is replaced, then the

speed calibration must be performed as per
manual.
Control Board Common Issues

Complaint:
Won’t follow protocol.
Constant Treadmill Fail error.
Fails test plug procedure.
Won’t power on at all.

Verify led’s are lit.

Remove RS-232 jumper, then retest.
Remove ESB cable, short pins and then retest. Control Board

If Control Board is replaced, then both a speed and elevation calibration must be
performed as per manual.
Replacing Parts

Raise hood grommets

Remove A/C power. Wait 3 minutes for
capacitor to dissipate.

Remove 3 hood bolts. ¼” Hex

socket or flat blade screwdriver.
Drive Belt Tension Adjustment -Hands on
• Drive Belt Tension Adjustment
– The drive belt may stretch and loosen with regular use. This looseness is noticeable when you may hear a flapping noise. If the drive belt is
loose, see illustration below.
1. Turn the treadmill’s power switch to OFF.
2. Press down on drive belt in between motor and front roller with approximately 5 lbs of force.
3. The drive belt should deflect approximately ¼” to 3/8”.
4. If deflection is more that 3/8”;
5. Loosen 4 Motor mounting nuts on underside of treadmill.
6. Adjust Motor tension adjustment. FVX Series is located outside front; TMX Series is located inside motor pan.
7. Turn adjustment tension nut equally to assure drive belt alignment.
8. Make small adjustments until drive belt deflection approximately ¼” to 3/8”
Walk Belt Tension Adjustment -Hands on

• The running belt may stretch and loosen with regular use. This looseness is noticeable when the belt tends to hesitate or
stick. If the belt is loose and slipping, see illustration below.
1. Turn the treadmill’s power switch to ON.
2. Start treadmill and increase to 1 mph
3. Start walking on the treadmill, grab handrail and apply pressure with your foot to create resistance on running belt.
4. If running belt start slipping on front drive roller, tighten both tension bolts ½ turn (Clockwise).
5. Repeat steps 2 thru 4 until running belt stop slipping.
