• Gujrat is famous for its renowned major industrial sectors
and export oriented industrial hub with a wide variety of
items ranging from fan manufacturing, furniture, ceramics,
agricultural implements, shoes manufacturing and their

allied industries as well as forms a part of “Golden

Triangle” of industrial cities with export-oriented economy.

• PSIC established first Small Industries Estate in Gujrat in

the year 1974 over an area of Land measuring 71-Acres.
Presently, Gujrat Industrial Estate is fully colonized; hence,
significant demand in the market prevails for the
establishment of new SIE in Gujrat.

• In order to gauge market demand, a series of meeting of
PSIC’s team were held with stakeholders i.e Gujrat
Chamber of Commerce and Industry , Pakistan Electric
Fans Manufacturers Association , Furniture Manufacturers

Association, Cutlery & Ceramic Associations and other

stakeholders as well.
• On the basis of the discussion made with stakeholders, it
has been observed that there is a dire need to establish a
new SIE in Gujrat.
• Following industries will be developed in proposed SIE:
 Fan Industry
 Furniture Industry
 Ceramic Industry
 Cutlery & Engineering Industry

 PROJECT STEERING COMMITTEE
Project Steering Committee shall comprise of following for

policy decisions for successful implementation of the scheme

 EXIT STRATEGY

• On completion of the estate, Board of Management of

Estate would be formulated as per PSIC’s SIE Policy who
will run all matters / affairs of the estate as per PSIC’s
policy / regulations.

• The services of staff hired in the scheme will stand

terminated after completion of gestation period of the
scheme.
• However, services of the staff may be retained after the
expiry of gestation period but it would be at sole
discretion of the Board of Management of the Estate as
per requirements.
• In this case, salary expense would be met from the funds
collected from the estate through maintenance charges.
