—FACTORS AFFECTING ENERGY GENERATION
Ambient Temp. – Silicon being negative temperature coefficient material, as the temp.
increases cell junction temp. also increases with a reduced o/p.
Grid Availability – Being a grid connected system availability of HT supply with in the
desired range for voltage & frequency is essential, hence it is reqd. to have an Express
Feeder

• Annual solar radiation in India is 5.2-6.5 kWh/m2/day over 280 clear days per annum, and thus there is
an abundant stock to trap
• Ample land already available to set up solar park.
• Shorter Project Gestation Period.
• Availability of government policies both at the national level (Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar
Mission).
• Attractive tariff rates, in the range of Rs 7-8 per kWh
• Reduced customs duty followed by exempted excise duty on solar PV panels
• Carbon credit benefits
• Project life of 25 years
• No major Approvals and clearances Required
