West Nile Humanitarian Response Committee (WNHRC) is a Youth led, none-profit, none-partisan, none-
RATIONALE
religious and an indigenous Non-Governmental Organization as an implementing partner particularly in
refugee and host community area.

(WNHRC) was formed in November 2010 in response to demands for Humanitarian activities, mobilize
resource and improve service delivery as well as improving operating environment and per suing a wide
range of thematic development areas of health, GBV, community services, education, Livelihood,
environment, child protection, Advocacy, energy, WASH, among others.
The purpose of WNHRC is to provide effective representation, coordination, Capacity/Institutional
Capacity Building, Policy Analysis, Advocacy and Lobbying, Networking and Information Sharing,
Promotion of Good Governance and Human Rights, partnerships, collaboration, research, community
empowerment for better service delivery and social transformation for poverty reduction in Refugees and
host community population in Uganda.

and their caregivers in Uganda

Provide holistic transformation of young people and disadvantaged communities by offering training,
empowerment and exposure to life changing innovations.
To mobilize resources and establish educational opportunities for vulnerable children
To ensure that children are safe, healthy and protected at home, in schools and communities.
To facilitate the rehabilitation of traumatized children through sports, music dance, and drama
To support community led initiatives with focus on using sustainable technologies to enhance
development.
To build capacity and sensitize children and communities on sexual reproductive health, rights and
preventable viral illness like HIV and chronic hepatitis
