Logistics Performance

Index
The Logistics Performance Index
based on a worldwide survey of operators on
the ground.
They combine in-depth knowledge of the
countries in which they operate…….
Consists of both qualitative and quantitative
measures. Measures performance along the
logistics supply chain within a country and
offers two different perspectives: International
and Domestic.
*International LPI provides qualitative
evaluations of a country in six areas by its
trading partners working outside the
country.
*Domestic LPI provides both qualitative
and quantitative assessments of a country
by logistics professionals working inside it.
The World Bank’s Logistics Performance Index (LPI)
summarizes the performance of countries in six areas that
capture the most important aspects of the current logistics
environment:

• Efficiency of the customers clearance process.

• Quality of trade and transport-related infrastructure.
• Ease of arranging competitively priced shipments.
• Competence and quality of logistics services.
• Ability to track and trace consignments.
• Frequency with which shipments reach the consignee
within the scheduled or expected time.
To calculate the LPI data, we can use any of these of modes
*Country Scorecard -: The scorecard allows comparisons with
the World & with the Region or income group.

*Global LPI Ranking presents performance scores of all

countries on the overall LPI index, as well as on the six key
dimensions, in a sortable table format.

*World Map provides a color-coded map for the global view of
the overall LPI index and the six key dimensions.

*Cross-Country Comparison allows bar-chart comparison of up
to 20 countries on their overall LPI index and six key
dimensions.
