The chair man of Ford Motors are Henry Ford and Bill Ford.
Henry Ford was a engineering genius whose pioneering efforts in industrial mass
production made it possible for Americans to enjoy consumer items once regarded
as luxuries.
• The Ford Motor Company is an American multinational corporation based in
Dearborn, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit.
• The automaker was founded by Henry Ford and incorporated on June 16, 1903.
In 1999, they were one of the first vehicle manufacturers in the nation to either
sell or lease electric vehicles.
• Ford is currently the second largest automaker in the U.S. and the fourth-largest
in the world based on number of vehicles sold annually, directly behind
Volkswagen Group.
• Ford has a wide international market Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom,
Germany, Turkey, Brazil, Argentina, Australia, South Africa, the People's Republic of
China, and several other countries.
• In March 2009 Ford launched to the U.S. market the Ford Fusion Hybrid and the
Mercury Milan Hybrid, both as 2010 models.

• With his schooling behind him, Ford went on to become the chief
engineer of the Edison Company in 1893.
Family background
• Henry was the first of William and Mary Ford's six children.
He opened Ford assembly plants in Britain and Canada in 1911, and soon became the biggest automotive producer in those countries. In 1912,
Ford cooperated with Fiat to launch the first Italian automotive assembly plants. The first plants in Germany were built in the 1920s, which
agreed with Ford's theory that international trade was essential to world peace. In the 1920s, Ford also opened plants in Australia, India, and
France, and by 1929, he had successful dealerships on six continents.
