GOOGLE
CLIPS
GOOGLE CLIPS
Is a hand-free camera built with Google’s
smarts that lets you effortlessly capture
and view more of the spontaneous
moment with the people and pets who
matter you .
1. Hand-free Capture – Google Clips automatically
captures short clips that last several seconds (with no
audio) when the camera sees people or pets up close.

2. Moment IQ – Google Clips is smart enough to

recognize great expressions, lighting and framing.
FEATURE
S OF 3. Familiar Faces – Google Clips learns to recognize the
people who matter most to you. The more you’re with

GOOGLE someone, the more it learns to capture of them.

CLIPS 4. Fast Transfer – Stream clips to the Google Clips app in

seconds so you can quickly view your content. No wires
needed – it’s the simplest transfer experience of any
camera.
First, in referencing its practicality, there is no screen on this
device. An individual has no way of looking at photos the device has
captured unless he/she has the app on an iPhone or Android.

Second, the lens cannot move on its own. If you do decide to set
Google Clips Down, It is fixed in the spot where it is placed. Due to
this feature, Google Clips could end up missing the perfect moments
Different it is intended to capture because it cannot adjust or move on its way.

Third, Google Clips is not for trips or vacation. Google Clips is
inadequate for taking pictures of landscapes, buildings, random
objects, or stranger.
google clips Fourth, Google Clips won’t work with all phones. Clips is
compatible only with selected Android (running Android 7.0 Nougat
and higher) and IOS (running IOS 10 or higher) smartphones.

Lastly, it is not worth the money. With Its price of $250 or

Php12,000+ you cannot experience a super high quality of pictures
and videos unlike the other devices offered.
FACTORS THAT LEADS TO THE
INTRODUCTION OF GOOGLE CLIPS
Based on our research there is no specific events or factors that leads to the introduction of google
clips. But as a group, we thick that the reason behind why Google clips are invented it’s because
Google wanted to produce a device that can compete with other devices. They are taking a big step to
the future.
ETHICAL DILEMMA OF GOOGLE
CLIPS
The Ethical Dilemma Of Google Clips is whether the user will used it a good way or in a bad way.
Google clips device can relate to the issues of privacy. Since the device is small enough, about two
inches in height and width, it can easily be concealed or forgotten about. Although the device shines as
small light to indicate it is recording, unless people are aware of it, this recording can go unnoticed.
User might used it in any "malicious acts" which raises to the moral, legal and ethical implications of
a person...
SENTENCING
SOFTWARE
GROUP 4
Sentencing Software
Refers to non-human tools and algorithms
used to determine the length and severity of a
criminal’s sentence.

This software takes a number of factors about

the criminal, runs them through an algorithm,
and then presents the results to the judge as a
recommendation.
COMPAS is a criminal sentencing software program that uses a
machine learning algorithm to establish the risk of a criminal
reoffending.

COMPAS involves inputting the answers to over 100 questions about

a person’s history from a variety of subjects, including offenses,
family, and even social life.

The COMPAS Assessment Tool Fact Sheet lists the following factors
taken into consideration as a part of its algorithms:

1.Educational-vocational-financial deficits and achievement skills

2.Anti-social attitudes and beliefs

3.Anti-social and pro-criminal associates and isolation

4.Temperament and impulsiveness (weak self-control) factors

5.Familial-marital-dysfunctional relationship (lack of nurturance-caring

and/or monitoring-supervision)

6.Alcohol and other drug disorders

7.Deviant sexual preferences and arousal patterns

Juvenile Misdemeanors
◦ Are crimes that are committed by minors
(usually, under 18 years of age in most
states).
◦ Some common examples of misdemeanors
include assault, shoplifting and other theft
crimes, and “minor in possession of
alcohol”
VERNON PRATER
Felony (2 armed robberies & 1 grand theft)
◦ involves the use of gun or
other weapon which can do
bodily arm, such as a knife or
club, and under most state
laws carries a stiffer penalty
(longer possible term) than
robbery by merely taking.
ADVANTAGE
SENTENCING SOFTWARE
◦ Would be Decisions
Sentencing made much more quickly and efficiently. An
algorithm can resolve a problem significantly faster than a
human given that computers process information
instantaneously. Potentially, therefore, computerized
sentencing could greatly reduce the current time between
when an offender is found guilty and when a sentence is
imposed.
DISADVANTAGE
SENTENCING SOFTWARE
Racial Bias
◦ They showed that COMPAS consistently determined African
Americans to be at a notably higher risk to reoffend compared
to white Americans, even when other factors were normalized.
◦ ProPublica also found that the algorithm was wrong in different
ways for different races. It determined that blacks are more
likely to be labeled as high-risk but not actually re-offend
whereas with whites, it determined that they were labeled as
low-risk but were more likely to re-offend.
