Introduction
The World Health Organization has designated Coronavirus Disease 2019,
often known as Covid-19, a global pandemic (WHO). Millions of instances of
coronavirus illness have been reported throughout the world, resulting in
enormous economic and societal consequences.
Community quarantines, which were used to prevent the spread of the
Covid-19 epidemic, have affected people's livelihoods and way of life. Due to
company closures and bankruptcies, people have been forced to quit or leave
their jobs as a result of Covid-19. They are forced to react to their condition by
reducing the budget allowed for meals and undertaking side jobs to create
additional cash because they have no other source of income.
Introduction
Furthermore, the situation in poor families is particularly difficult because their
daily wage is limited, and their budget allocation has changed dramatically to cope
with the negative effects of Covid-19, which results in restricted access to food and,
as a result, affects their nutritional status.
