3. Compiles and maintains the Register of Newspapers
4. Issues Certificate of Registration to Newspapers
5. All publishers are required to send annual statements to RNI

STEPS TO REGISTER A
NEWSPAPER

1. Visit RNI website and check if the


title is registered or not.

2. Apply online to get the title verified

3. A printed copy of the form should be
forwarded through the District
Magistrate of the district where the
newspaper is to be published.

Following verification, the individual is
required to submit documents duly certified
to RNI. Once satisfied, the RNI registers the
title.
Step 2
The request for Registration is to be

After one year the title gets deblocked, and
the owner has to submit a fresh Verification
request.
