Building Background

This story takes place in the summer of 1957 at


Revere Beach in Revere, Massachusetts, five miles
north of Boston. It was the first public U.S. beach,
established in 1896. People from the entire Boston
metropolitan area were able to reach Revere Beach by
public Transportation during the summer months.
