CORDILLERA ADMINISTRATIVE REGION
• The Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) was established on July 15,
1987 through executive Order No. 2 2 0 issued by President Corazon
Aquino.

• It is the only land-locked region of the Philippines. The region consists of


the provinces of Abra, Apayao, Benguet, Ifugao, Kalinga, Mountain
Province and Apayao.

• The regional center is the Chartered City of Baguio, offi cially known as
the Summer Ca pital of the Philippines

• Abra is a landlocked province in the
Cordillera Administrative Region in
the Philippines.

Say-Am Festival
• Say-am Festival of Apayao which is celebrated every February 14.It is in
celebration of the founding anniversary of the province and Isnag's grandest
feast or celebration. S

La Trinidad Strawberry Festival


• Every 23rd of March, the capital city of La Trinidad brings out the best of its
produce – strawberries.

There are over 700 strawberry farms in La Trinidad alone. These farms produce
over a thousand metric tons of fruit every year.

As a tradition in many parts of the Philippines, the Strawberry Festival is a form


of celebration and thanksgiving for a bountiful harvest.

Imbayah Festival
• Imbayah is a cultural Festival which celebrates the well established conventions of the Ifugao
Indigenous tribes of Banaue, Philippines. It praises collect and fuses customs with thanksgiving to
