Introdution Nowadays we have a big amount of types of a pumps and all them are specially designed for their purposes. In this presentation I want to tell about application of some types of pumps. It will be small amount of information because if I will write all about specification of usage of each type of pump this presentation will be endless. Applications of ANSI pumps Even though ANSI chemical pumps they are mostly used in the chemical and petrochemical industries, they can also be found in paper stock, ethanol production, pharmaceutical, food processing and several other process plants. They are most often used to pump thin fluids such as water, alcohols, and other less aggressive fluids. Depending on the impeller type, they can even pump fluids with solids. Moreover, with the right material selection, they can transfer highly corrosive and aggressive liquids. Applications of self priming centrifugal pump Self-priming pumps are used in various industrial and commercial facilities, from steel mills, power plants, and sewage treatment facilities to wineries, breweries, and more. Common applications include: Pumping water, fuels, clear or gray water, raw sewage, industrial wastewater, and more Liquid transfer systems Irrigation Basement floodwater pumps Bailing out boats Increasing water pressure Sewage treatment Applications of rotary gear pump Gear pumps are mainstays in the petrochemical industry. They are used for crude oil, diesel oil, lube oil, pitch and bitumen. They are also used for transporting chemicals such as sodium silicate, mixed chemicals, acids, plastics, isocyanates and other chemicals that must be handled with care. They are also used for adhesives, resins, ink and paint. They are especially popular in the pulp and paper industries, where they are used for acid, lye, soap, black liquor, latex, kaolin, lime and sludge. The food industry uses them for a lot of tasty options, including molasses, vegetable oils, pet food, vegetable fats, fillers, sugar, chocolate and cacao butter. Applications of plunger pumps / piston pumps Range of applications for plunger pumps / piston pumps: High-Pressure Cleaning Water Hydraulics Oil Hydraulics Descaling Process Technology Metering Systems Biotechnology Hydraulic Pressure Testing Energy Saving Fluid Transportation Drilling Service Water Injection Fracking Waterjet Cutting Applications of progressing cavity pumps High-viscosity liquids, sludge, media that contain solids – progressing cavity pumps, sometimes also called mono pumps, mohno pumps or moyno pumps, are the right displacement pumps for demanding fluids, also with high gas and solid contents. With their beneficial properties, progressive cavity pumps can also handle many sensitive and challenging liquids: gently, with low pulsation and precisely. Applications of progressing cavity pumps Submersible pumps are used in these industries: drainage, slurry pumping, sewage pumping, water wells, oil wells, seawater handling, sewage treatment, fire fighting, deep well drilling, irrigation, mine dewatering, artificial lifts and offshore drilling rigs.
