General Aim:
• Student will be able to develop skill of listening and recitation.
• Student will be able to enjoy the music and rhythm of the poem.
• Student will be able to develop aesthetic qualities of appreciation.
• Student will be able to understand the beauty of poem through continued analysis.
Specific Aim:
Cognitive
• Student will be able to understand and analyse the poem.
• Student will be able to explain the poem.
Affective:
• Student will be able to develop the interest towards English poetry.
• Student will be able to develop positive attitude towards English
language and literature.
Psychomotor:
• Student will be able to learn how to recite the poem in an impressive
way.
• Student will be able to explain the central idea of the poem.

Birds built their nest on tress. So,
today we will study a beautiful
poem ‘Little Birdie’.
LITTLE BIRDIE
What does little birdie say,
In her nest at peep of day,
Let me fly, says little birdie,
Mother, let me fly away.
Birdie, rest a little longer,
Till the little wings are stronger,
So she rests a little longer,
Then she flies away.
