Thermodynamics

 Introduction :-
Thermodynamics is the branch of engineering which
teels us very important thing that work done
during any heat transfer
Thermodynamics Systems

The word system include in the univers word which

also have boundry and surrounding
System is a region which is choose for our study.
There are three type of system

1. Open System
2. Close System
3. Isolated System
Thermodynamic equlibrium

There are three types of thermodynamic equlibrium.

1)Thermal equilibrium
2)Mechanical equilibrium
3)Chemical equilibrium
A system is said in thermal equilibrium when all
three condition are to be satisfy
Laws of Thermodynamics

1. Zeroth Law of Thermodynamics

2. First Law of Thermodynamics

The First Law of Thermodynamics states that heat is a form of energy,

and thermodynamic processes are therefore subject to the
principle of conservation of energy. This means that heat energy
cannot be created or destroyed. It can, however, be transferred
from one location to another and converted to and from other
forms of energy.
Manufacturing Process :-

Advanced Manufacturing Technology (AMT) is a modern

method of production incorporating highly automated
and sophisticated computerized design and operational
systems. AMT aims at manufacturing high quality
products at low cost within the shortest delivery time.
what is manufacturing ?
Manufacturing is the processing of raw materials or parts
into finished goods through the use of tools, human
labor, machinery, and chemical processing. Large-
scale manufacturing allows for the mass production of
goods using assembly line processes and advanced
technologies as core assets
 Development of Manufacturing:-
After the development of computer many manufacturing
machines and software are developed,
1. CNC MACHINE
2. GROUP TECHNOLOGY
3. ROBITICS AND CONTROL

 Machine Development :-

1 CNC machine
1. Micro Machining process
2. Nano manufacturing process
3. Hard machining
 Need for Advanced Manufacturing :-

 Limitations in conventional methods

 Rapid improvement in material properties

 High tolerance requirements

 Product requirements

 High production with law cost
