CONTINOUS

PRESENT CONTINUOUS
It is also called, present progressive or – ing. Is
the continuous form of the present.

It is mainly used to express actions that are taking


place in the moment of speech or in near time.
THE PRESENT CONTINUOUS TENSE

TIME EXPRESSIONS:

Now, at the moment, today, nowdays, this week.

They are throwing snowballs now


PRESENT CONTINOUS
AFFIRMATIVE

Subjet + verb to be + verb (with ing)…

She is watching TV on the coach.

It is flying.
PRESENT CONTINOUS
NEGATIVE

Subjet + verb to be + not + verb (with ing)…

She is not watching TV on the coach
