What is the ozone
layer?
This is the air layer of the earth, consisting of special
forms of oxygen, absorbing ultraviolet rays, it is located
very unevenly. Due to the strong action of the ultraviolet

oxygen atom to itself, this is how ozone is obtained, a

There are two "types" of ozone
"Useful" ozone

"Harmful" ozone
• Extremely dangerous for living organisms on
earth
• Appeared under the influence of man
• Adversely affects human and plant health
• Exhaust gases and industrial emissions come

 Ozone holes
In 1985, the first ozone hole was discovered,
over 1000 km in diameter over Antarctica, by a
group of British scientists every August, then
scientists realized that chlorine destroys ozone.
Freons containing chlorine bromine are
massively used in refrigerators, air conditioners
and in numerous aerosol cans that have a
detrimental effect on the ozone layer, chlorine

south.
